Lucknam Park Brasserie blossoms into Walled Garden Restaurant

Lucknam Park

A delicious secret is to be revealed in the gardens of Lucknam Park this spring

The five-star country house hotel, set within 500 acres of Wiltshire parkland, gardens and paddocks, is making the most of the sheltered enclave of its beautiful walled gardens to elevate its already exceptional dining experience.

The former Brasserie at Lucknam Park has been restyled, refurbished and renamed Walled Garden Restaurant. Opening in April 2024, the restaurant will complement the hotel’s Michelin-starred offering at Restaurant Hywel Jones, creating a week-round, all-day dining destination.

Within the 18th-century walled garden, sculpted yew and box hedges frame traditional herbaceous borders – a delightfully serene setting for the hotel’s new dining concept on the site of the Brasserie.

The new restaurant will enjoy the same abundance of light and floor-to-ceiling views of the walled garden as its predecessor. Within, natural stone and wood accents are paired with soft neutral tones and green foliage, which both complement and draw in the verdant beauty of the formal garden beyond.

Walled Garden Restaurant will see executive chef Hywel Jones and Walled Garden Restaurant chef Alex Green and team showcase seasonal local produce, such as spring lamb raised on the estate and ingredients sourced from Lucknam’s kitchen garden.

Daytime diners will be treated to sharing plates featuring the likes of apple and lavender honey-glazed duck breast with a tangy green rhubarb chutney, while evening guests can look forward to an elegant à la carte experience, with dishes such as spring vegetable quiche with a seasonal walled garden salad.
